My name is Caleb Abel, and I am a writer. Bullshish.com has undergone a variety of evolutions since I first bought the domain name in high school. When I first started it, it was meant to be creative safe haven for students that never got off the ground. Throughout college it served as nothing more than a giant server I could use to share school projects. After college it mutated into a movie review blog where I would go on to review nearly 400 films of all genres when movie-watching was my primary past time.
In six years, only two things stayed true during these changes. The first is that writing has always been my passion and my go-to stabilizer. The second is that I’ve always written about whatever was most interesting to me at that point in my life.
With the latest shift in Bullshish priorities, my writing is no longer my only passion nor is it my sole stabilizer. Now I have Laura. And so begins the new era of Bullshish. My life with Laura is the only thing I can even fathom mattering from here forward.
Our adventures together are meant to serve as a simple reminder that life doesn’t control you. People always try to put a negative spin on the phrase “Making a mountain out a mole hill”, but the way I see it, that should be the whole goal. Life is only mundane when people let it get that way, and we’re determined to make the most out of every morsel. Humor can be found in everything and completely growing up should be optional. There’s a time to laugh and a time to cry, but mostly there’s a time to cry from laughing so hard.
Life is what you make it. We just make it awesome.
